I recently wrote this article. Having been on SDI, the change from checks to a Visa debit card was a surprise to me. However, it really was a pleasant surprise! While the first statement arrived a few days before the card, when I sent the statement in for the next check it was literally lightning speed. I mailed the statement on Wednesday and the money was on my card by Friday evening. Wow!
